You Don't Need to Become Someone Else.
You Need the Courage to Become More Fully Yourself.
Welcome to Heal With Autumn.
This is a space for healing, self-trust, honest conversations, and creating a life that actually feels like yours.
Sometimes the problem isn't that you don't know how to function. You're very good at functioning.
You're good at showing up. Handling things. Taking care of people. Being responsible. Pushing through. Keeping it together.
But somewhere along the way, you got really good at living a life that works for everyone else. And less practiced at asking whether it works for you.
That's where becoming BOLD comes in.
The BOLD Mission
To help 100,000 women put down what was never theirs to carry and become BOLD in the process. Boundaries. Ownership. Living. Daring.
BOLD isn't a personality type. You don't have to be loud. You don't have to be fearless. You don't have to quit your job, move across the world, or reinvent your entire life.
Sometimes becoming BOLD looks like saying no. Sometimes it looks like asking for help. Sometimes it looks like admitting you're unhappy. Sometimes it looks like leaving. Sometimes it looks like staying, but doing things differently. Sometimes it looks like resting. Sometimes it looks like wanting more.
And sometimes the boldest thing you can do is finally admit, "this isn't working for me anymore."

Stop abandoning yourself to keep everything else running.
Boundaries aren't about becoming cold, selfish, or unavailable. They're about recognizing that your needs, energy, time, body, and capacity matter too.
You can love people without managing their emotions. You can care without constantly rescuing. You can be generous without being endlessly available. You can say no without writing a five-paragraph explanation.
Boundaries create room for you to exist in your own life.
-
Get honest about what is actually true for you.
Your feelings. Your needs. Your desires. Your values. Your limits. Your uncertainty. Your dreams.
Sometimes we lose ourselves because we're so busy responding to everything around us that we stop checking in with ourselves. Owning your truth means learning to hear yourself again.
You can't build a life that feels like yours if you don't know what is true for you.
-
Your life is happening now.
Not once you've healed enough. Not once you've lost the weight. Not once your career is figured out. Not once everyone else is okay. Not once you've checked every box. Now.
Living means making room for the things that make life feel like life. Connection. Pleasure. Rest. Adventure. Movement. Creativity. Travel. Friendship. Sex. Laughter. Beauty. Spontaneity. Peace.
Healing isn't supposed to make you better at surviving your life. It's supposed to give you more access to living it.
-
You don't have to know exactly how it will turn out.
Eventually, self-awareness has to become action.
Daring might mean trying something new. Having the uncomfortable conversation. Leaving the relationship. Starting the business. Taking the trip. Changing your mind. Being seen. Asking for what you want. Letting yourself want something that scares you.
You don't need certainty before you move. You need enough self-trust to take the next honest step.

If any of that landed, the What Are You Really Carrying Inventory is the first thing I would hand you. It's free, takes about ten minutes, and shows you exactly where you're spending yourself right now.
ABOUT ME
Hello!
I'm a therapist, educator, speaker, traveler, and woman who is still figuring things out just like everybody else.
I've spent nearly twenty years working in mental health, but the things that have shaped me most haven't all happened in a therapy room.
I've experienced grief. I've experienced endings I didn't see coming. I've had to change plans. I've had to rethink what my life was supposed to look like. I've had to accept that sometimes the life you imagined isn't the one you end up living.
I've also learned what it means to live in a body that doesn't always cooperate.
And somewhere along the way, I realized something.
I don't want my life to be organized around what I can endure. I want to actually live it.
I know that being capable can become a trap. That being the person everyone can count on can make it really hard to figure out what you can count on yourself for.
I know that you can be grateful for your life and still want something different. You can love people and need boundaries. You can be successful and exhausted. You can be healing and still be messy. You can change your mind. You can start over. And you don't have to wait until everything is figured out to enjoy your life.
That's a big part of why I created Heal With Autumn.
Outside of the work, I'm a Black woman in Charlotte who genuinely likes having a good time. I love to travel, move my body, eat good food, get dressed up, and have really good conversations. I love my people, my city, and the community I get to be part of. I love a great trip, a great meal, and a day with absolutely nothing on the schedule.
I'm still learning. Still changing. Still taking the trip. Still changing my mind. Still laughing at inappropriate times. Still becoming.
And honestly? I think that's the point.
You don't have to have yourself completely figured out to build a life you love. You just have to be willing to get honest about what you want and brave enough to make room for it.
I'm glad you're here.
